The South Dakota Music Education Association's Elementary Honor Choir event is held in Sioux Falls on November 2nd. The guest director for the event will be Ann Usher from the Cleveland Children's Choir. The SDMEA Elementary Honor Choir is an awesome opportunity for students in grades 3-5 and I would encourage those interested in music to audition for it. Mrs. VanVoorst and Mrs. DesEnfants agree that auditioning in 3rd and 4th grade give students an important experience even if they do not make it into the honor choir as they learn how to audition and prepares them for future auditions. Mrs. DesEnfants is planning on having interested students join her in the music room to practice on April 4th and 8th from 3:45 to 4:30. Audition recordings will take place on April 11th from 3:45 to 4:30. Please let Mrs. DesEnfants know if you have any other questions or if your child is interested.
