SSG Heier recently visited the applied chemistry class to talk about the chemistry of MREs (meals ready to eat). Students were asked about exothermic reactions and the basic chemical components of a chemical reaction. At the end of the lesson, the students were able to cook and try their very own MREs courtesy of the South Dakota National Guard.
