VHMS at the movies

The Viborg-Hurley Middle School finished the first semester with a fun filled day. All of the students and staff started their day by loading buses and traveling to Viborg where they watched a movie and enjoyed a snack and drink. The movie/snacks/drinks were sponsored by Parsons' Insurance Agency of Viborg and the VHMS Student Council. A big thank you to Parsons' for spreading the holiday cheer to the middle school (and elementary) students and staff with their generous donation.

The VHMS continued their busy day with an afternoon of singing, visiting, and problem-solving. The students split into two groups with one group signing and visiting with nursing home residence in Viborg and the other group staying at the middle school and participating in a Christmas Breakout Box challenge. The students traded places later in the afternoon so everyone was able to share the same experience. The students visiting the nursing home were able to sing Christmas carols and visit with the residence. The students staying at the middle school were placed into groups and used riddles to solve a series of lock combinations to be the first group to unlock the box and discover what was inside.
