A group of 8th grade ag students recently traveled to Lake Norden to visit the Agro Pur facility to get some hands on practice for their upcoming Dairy Foods CDE events. They participated in two workshops:
1. Milk Sensory Evaluation
2 Cheese Variety Testing
While there they learned that the plant had gone from 3 million gallons to 9 million gallons of milk per day. They also got to taste 14 different kinds of cheese, which they judged on taste, texture, flavor, and appearance. Thanks to Jacklyn Knutson, who was instrumental in helping set this up for our kids.
