Cold and Flu Season

With the start of the new year, we are starting to see the impact of the cold and flu season on a few of our students.  As a reminder, if your student is diagnosed with the flu, please be sure that your student is fever free for 24 hours and/or they have begun a medication treatment plan from a doctor before they return to school. Sending students back to school too early can increase the spread of the flu virus. As much as we don’t want our students to miss school, we also want to make sure our students attend when they are healthy.  To accomplish that we all need to work together to prevent the spread of the flu. Some of the best ways to prevent the flu are getting a yearly vaccine, frequent hand washing, keeping hands away from the face, and covering coughs to prevent airborne particles. We appreciate your cooperation in working with our school district in preventing the spread of the flu this season.
