The Viborg-Hurley Daycare is "Monkeying Around" this week. They started the week off by making "monkey" hats. Tuesday, their day began with the book Curious George Makes Pancakes and monkey show and tell. The daycare kids enjoyed pancakes for breakfast made from the recipe in the book (blueberries was his "special" ingredient). They then made their way down to the office for a picture with Mr. Mellem wearing their monkey hats and carrying their pet monkeys. Mr. Mellem joined in the fun with his Curious George t-shirt and monkey tail beard and mustache. The theme continues throughout this week with Art class on Wednesday where they will be making banana monkey holders and then on Thursday they will be coloring monkey pages and watching a Curious George movie.
