On September 1st, the 5th-graders attended an American Flag presentation in the small gym. The presentation was presented by SGT. Haley Harvey and Ryan Dannen. Throughout the school year, it is the 5th-graders’ job to put the flag up in the morning, as well as take it down at the end of each school day at the middle school. SGT. Harvey and Dannen taught the students the importance of taking care of the flag and making sure it is folded the proper way. At the end of the presentation, some of the students even got the chance to test their folding skills.
