On October 26th & 27th, the Viborg-Hurley Middle School students took a trip to Thunder Road in Sioux Falls. The students participated in 3 activities: mini golf, mini bowling, and laser tag as part of the first quarter character reward.
VHMS Students are rewarded for exhibiting consistent positive character traits throughout the quarter. Students earn these rewards by having limited character marks throughout the month. The rewards vary each quarter with all students having an equal chance at earning them. Character rewards are funded by local businesses, community members/organizations, or the VHMS student council.
The first quarter character reward trip to Thunder Road was sponsored by Tri Cross Dairy of Viborg, SD, they were generous enough to cover all expenses. Tri-Cross Dairy has been a great supporter of education and activities at Viborg-Hurley.
