The Viborg-Hurley Student of the Month Program was created to recognize students that go above and beyond in and out of the classroom. These students go above and beyond their role as a student, are prepared for class, exhibit good character, follow school rules, and are a positive role model for others.

"Micah is an outstanding candidate for student of the month for many reasons. He is always respectful to students and adults. I can always count on him to help tidy up and use his manners. He is a good friend to everyone in class. Numerous times I see him offering to partner with classmates who need a partner. Micah always gets his work done promptly with great quality of work and uses his time well. Micah is such a hard worker and a great leader of positive behavior in our school. I am very proud of him and how much he has accomplished in first grade."
