The Viborg-Hurley School District and the Viborg-Hurley High School Student Council is pleased to announce that that the VHHS student body will be attending the highly renowned Jeff Yalden Assembly on Wednesday, October 16th, 2019 at the Beresford High School Auditorium from 1:30-3:20 pm. Jeff’s mission statement is, “To prevent suicide, improve community mental health, and shatter the stigma of mental health by initiating a positive movement: speak up; reach out. If you have a teenager, you will not want to miss Jeff’s message. Jeff Yalden will encourage our High School learners to talk about mental health, teen suicide, and motivation. We discovered Jeff Yalden when we searched for a relevant motivational speaker who caters his message to schools’ themes and programs. His specialties include speaking on suicide prevention, raising awareness regarding mental health issues, and providing coping mechanisms for crisis situations.
